Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform OBGYN procedures and assist with Pap smears, colposcopy, LEEP, D&C and endometrial biopsies to support timely patient care
• Insert and remove IUDs and Nexplanon implants safely and with patient-centered counseling
• Conduct Non-Stress Tests (NST) and monitor fetal well-being following clinic protocols
• Establish and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy and manage specimen labeling and processing
• Administer medications and vaccines (IM/SQ) and document administration accurately
• Monitor and record vital signs, assess patient status and escalate concerns appropriately
• Provide telephone triage, follow-up calls and coordinate medication refill requests
• Document encounters precisely in Epic and assist with medication reconciliation and lab result interpretation
• Educate patients on procedures, contraception options and post-procedure care with compassion and clarity
• Float to other outpatient clinics as needed within scope to help meet facility needs

Qualifications

• Active CA LVN License required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of LVN experience overall and at least 1 year of OBGYN experience
• BLS certification (AHA/ARC) required
• IV/Blood Draw certification required
• Flu vaccination REQUIRED (no declinations or exemptions)
• Comfortable performing Pap smears, colposcopy assistance, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions/removals, Nexplanon and NST
• Epic experience preferred but not required
• Ability to float within scope to other clinics within the local radius

Education

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program
• Active CA LVN license (state licensure required)

• Colposcopy support and LEEP/D&C procedural knowledge
• IUD insertion/removal and Nexplanon insertion/removal
• Non-Stress Test (NST) administration and fetal monitoring
• IV therapy, phlebotomy and specimen labeling
• Medication administration (IM/SQ) and vaccine administration
• Vital sign monitoring and pain assessment
• Telephone triage, patient education and follow-up care
• Epic charting and electronic medical record documentation
• Blood glucose monitoring and basic laboratory result interpretation
