Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and assistance to physicians during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures
• Perform scrub duties and hemodynamic monitoring during cardiac catheterizations and vascular/interventional procedures
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures and deliver clear instructions and compassionate care
• Prepare and maintain all procedural documentation and pertinent patient information using EPIC
• Support the holding area with patient care and procedural readiness
• Operate and monitor physiologic and radiographic equipment, including pacemaker operations and intracardiac pressure waveform interpretation

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology
• Minimum 2 years in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab experience
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) OR CVT (with four years cath lab experience) — exam eligible at time of hire acceptable
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology and 12-Lead EKG interpretation
• Experience with physiologic monitoring and pacemaker operations (implantable and external)
• Preferred: Four years combined cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology experience; ARRT Advanced Level Certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography; RCIS preferred

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology

• Interventional Radiology and Cardiac Catheterization procedures
• Scrub duties and intra-procedural support
• Hemodynamic and physiologic monitoring (intracardiac pressure waveforms)
• 12-Lead EKG interpretation
• Pacemaker operations (implantable and external)
• EPIC charting system proficiency
• Patient assessment, pre/post procedure care, and clear patient communication
• Use and maintenance of radiographic and cardiac monitoring equipment
