Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality orthopedic care
• Implement treatment plans and therapeutic exercise programs with enthusiasm and clinical precision
• Deliver hands-on patient care including modalities, gait training, and functional mobility assistance
• Document treatments and patient progress clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and injury prevention
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth transitions between outpatient and inpatient care
• Contribute to a positive clinic environment by mentoring patients and supporting clinic operations

Qualifications

• Current Montana Physical Therapy Assistant licensure (required)
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (required)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience, ideally with outpatient orthopedics experience
• Comfortable providing occasional inpatient/acute care coverage
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willingness to obtain
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant (or graduation from an accredited PTA program)

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthopedic rehabilitation techniques and therapeutic exercise prescription
• Gait training and assistive device proficiency
• Patient assessment and safe mobility assistance
• Familiarity with outpatient clinic workflows and electronic medical records
• Ability to adapt clinical interventions for inpatient acute needs when required
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork-oriented approach
