Shift Type: 3x12-hour Day Shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM; weekends required; floating between campuses may be required (Day shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Manage ventilator settings and deliver expert ventilator care using GE ventilators including GE 860
- Provide advanced airway management, perform suctioning and tracheostomy care
- Interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) to guide respiratory treatment plans
- Administer respiratory medications and set up aerosol, MDI, and nebulizer therapy
- Wean patients from mechanical ventilation and troubleshoot high pressure alarms
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate critical care for adult and geriatric patients
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and response to therapy accurately and timely
- Support procedures such as extubation and suctioning while promoting pulmonary hygiene
Qualifications
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred; CRT considered
- State respiratory therapist licensure required
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (adult critical care or ED experience preferred)
- High school diploma plus college diploma and/or transcripts required
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
- Previous travel experience preferred; ability to float between campuses as needed
Education
- High School Diploma required
- College diploma and/or official transcripts required
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in ventilator management including BiPAP and CPAP
- Experience with GE ventilators, especially GE 860
- Skilled in high flow nasal cannula (HFNC) therapy and oxygen delivery systems
- Strong airway management skills including tracheostomy care and extubation
- Comfortable with medication administration for respiratory drugs and inhaled therapies
- Able to troubleshoot high pressure alarms and perform ventilator weaning
- Adept at ABG interpretation and making clinical recommendations based on results
- Familiar with aerosol setups, MDI/Medihaler use, and nebulizer delivery systems
