Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting with compassion
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Provide safe, respectful mobility assistance and fall-prevention support
• Support the care plan by communicating observations and participating in team huddles
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Build trusting relationships with patients and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Active or eligible to obtain CNA certification in North Carolina
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a positive attitude and reliable work ethic
• Prior experience in long-term care or medical-surgical settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED; completed CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of ADLs, vital sign measurement, and basic patient care techniques
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety best practices
• Ability to follow care plans and accurately document patient information
• Comfortable with safe patient handling and use of assistive devices
• Good observational skills to notice and escalate clinical changes
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and the care team
