Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients promptly and accurately to ensure timely, appropriate care
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document all care clearly
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered plans
• Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition to the RN/physician
• Provide compassionate patient education and support to patients and families
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and follow facility protocols

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license (must be valid for practice in New Mexico or eligible for compact licensure where applicable)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Previous clinical experience in a similar acute care setting preferred
• Ability to work scheduled 12+ hour day shifts (Sunday, Thursday, Friday)
• Immunizations and health screenings as required by the facility

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program (for LPN) or accredited nursing program (for RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong medication administration and basic clinical assessment skills
• Comfortable with IV starts/line care as allowed by scope (as applicable to role)
• Clear, timely documentation and good charting practices
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and manage time during long shifts
