Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies across XR, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine with accuracy and clinical insight
• Perform and supervise fluoroscopic exams including pediatric and infant barium enemas
• Carry out light interventional radiology procedures such as image-guided biopsies (CT & US) and drainages
• Perform lumbar punctures, myelograms, arthrograms and joint injections as indicated
• Prioritize timely, high-quality reads to support workflow expectations in a busy hospital setting
• Communicate findings clearly and compassionately with referring clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure proper documentation, follow radiation safety practices and maintain procedural quality standards
• Contribute to a positive team culture by mentoring trainees and collaborating with technologists and nursing staff

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
• Ability to obtain or hold a valid West Virginia medical license
• Proven proficiency with fluoroscopy and pediatric/infant barium enema procedures
• Experience performing image-guided biopsies (CT and ultrasound) and common drainage procedures
• Comfort working onsite in a hospital environment and managing high-volume daytime workloads
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for multidisciplinary collaboration

Education

• MD or DO; completion of an accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency (fellowship optional)

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in XR, CT, MRI, Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine imaging modalities
• Fluoroscopy skills including pediatric and infant studies
• Image-guided procedure skills: CT-guided biopsy, US-guided biopsy, drainages
• Familiarity with interpreting a high-volume case mix and maintaining productivity
• Good procedural technique for lumbar puncture, myelogram, arthrograms and joint injections
• Clear clinical communication, report writing, and teamwork in a hospital setting
• Understanding of radiation safety and quality assurance best practices
