Shift Type: Full-time (1.0 FTE), primarily daytime clinic hours, Monday–Friday with a shared on-call rotation (mostly phone coverage with hospital visits as needed); schedule varies and includes some regional travel to Muskegon

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide specialized Maternal Fetal Medicine care for high-risk pregnancies and complex fetal conditions
- Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists and other specialists to develop comprehensive, patient-centered care plans
- Serve as a regional physician covering primarily Grand Rapids with scheduled coverage to Muskegon as needed
- Lead and participate in education and training of medical students and residents, shaping the next generation of clinicians
- Act as a key referral source and coordinate multidisciplinary care across sites
- Share on-call duties with the MFM partner/Medical Director, responding by phone and performing hospital visits when necessary
- Work closely with assigned MA, sonographer and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine — truly Board Eligible candidates must obtain Board Certification within 2 years of eligibility
- Not accepting candidates with lapsed Board Certification or Locums-only candidates
- Open to H‑1B visa candidates; J‑1 waiver candidates cannot be accepted
- Proven experience managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal complications (community and academic collaboration experience a plus)
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a multidisciplinary team and teaching environment
- Willingness and ability to provide regional coverage between Grand Rapids and Muskegon
Education
- MD or DO
- Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) following OB/Gyn residency
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in Maternal Fetal Medicine and high-risk pregnancy management
- Clinical maternal-fetal medicine assessment and decision-making
- Management of fetal complications and coordination with neonatology
- Multidisciplinary collaboration with obstetrics, neonatology and subspecialists
- Experience working with sonographers and support staff to run efficient clinics
- Teaching and mentorship of medical students and residents
- Referral triage and regional practice coordination
