Physician - OB/GYN Laborist

Shift Type: 24-hour in-house coverage for labor & delivery, OB/GYN triage, and ER on-call as needed; rotating day and night coverage including weekends (dedicated full-time hospitalist role, no separate "doc call")

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive hospital support for OB & GYN patients in a busy inpatient setting
- Deliver collaborative care alongside community health partners (FQHC) and midwives
- Manage a high-volume delivery service — roughly 80 deliveries per month — with safety and compassion
- Provide 24-hour in-house coverage for labor & delivery, OB/GYN triage, and ER calls when needed
- Serve as a regional referral resource for gynecologic patients
- Perform daily rounding on post-operative and postpartum patients to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Participate in a collaborative care model focused on patient safety and strong community connections
- Collaborate closely with anesthesia, NICU, and other multidisciplinary team members to optimize outcomes
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN in the United States (Provider MUST be board certified or board eligible — explicit requirement)
- Experience in labor & delivery, inpatient OB/GYN care, and hospitalist-style coverage
- Comfort providing 24-hour in-house coverage and participating in triage and ER callbacks
- Clean malpractice preferred; cannot accept providers with malpractice cases that are in Probate or that require supervision
- Not accepting Locums candidates (per posting)

Education
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN (US)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong skills in labor & delivery management and inpatient obstetric care
- OB/GYN triage and urgent/emergent assessment
- Postpartum and post-operative patient management and daily rounding
- Ability to function as a regional referral resource for GYN patients
- Experience working in collaborative care models and with community partners (FQHC), midwives, NICU, and anesthesia
- Comfort working in a high-volume environment while maintaining patient safety and teamwork
