Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert anesthesia care for adult and pediatric patients across general surgical, thoracic and obstetrical cases
- Deliver regional anesthesia and nerve blocks, intravenous sedation and conductive anesthesia as needed
- Perform thorough pre-operative evaluations and vigilant post-operative monitoring for anesthesia-related complications
- Supervise and manage anesthesiology services to ensure timely, safe care for hospital patients
- Respond promptly to pages and anesthesia-specific codes as practitioner availability permits
- Collaborate closely with OR leadership, anesthesia colleagues and clinical staff to maintain high-quality, patient-centered care
- Document anesthesia care accurately in the Cerner EMR following approved clinical standards
Qualifications
- Board Certified CRNA (required)
- 5+ years of CRNA experience preferred, though recent graduates with the right training will be considered
- Experience providing anesthesia for both adult and pediatric patients (explicitly required)
- Proven ability to provide general, thoracic, pediatric and obstetrical anesthesia as well as regional blocks and IV sedation
- Clean malpractice history preferred; providers with malpractice cases in probate or requiring supervision cannot be accepted
- Ability and willingness to provide 24/7 on-call coverage
- Not accepting visa candidates; not accepting locum candidates
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in general anesthesia for surgical, pediatric, thoracic and obstetrical cases
- Skilled in regional anesthesia/blocks and intravenous regional anesthesia
- Proficient with intravenous sedation and conductive anesthesia techniques
- Strong skills in pre-op evaluation and post-op monitoring for anesthesia-related issues
- Experience supervising and managing anesthesiology services
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Excellent teamwork, communication and OR leadership collaboration abilities
