Shift Type: Rotating coverage — 24/7 in-house coverage with day rounding (includes nights and weekends as part of the coverage rotation)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert care in a Level 3 NICU and the newborn nursery, ensuring excellent outcomes for infants
- Collaborate closely with pediatric hospitalists to deliver family-centered care and smooth transitions
- Perform structured day rounding and in-house coverage as part of the 24/7 team rotation
- Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) efforts and clinical research projects
- Share best practices across a large network of providers to promote consistent, high-quality neonatal care
- Contribute to a collegial team environment and support professional development of colleagues
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Neonatologist — experienced providers and newly graduated fellows are encouraged to apply
- Willingness and ability to participate in 24/7 in-house coverage and day rounding
- Interest in participating in CQI initiatives and clinical research
- Team-oriented mindset to collaborate effectively with pediatric hospitalists and multidisciplinary staff
- Note: Locum tenens candidates are not being accepted for this role
Education
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Neonatology (newly graduated fellows welcome)
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in neonatology and Level 3 NICU care
- Comfort providing newborn nursery coverage and in-house clinical coverage
- Strong patient rounding and family-centered communication skills
- Experience or interest in clinical research and continuous quality improvement (CQI)
- Collaborative skills to work seamlessly with pediatric hospitalists and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to apply evidence-based practices and share learnings across a large provider network
