Roles & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Family Medicine/OB group to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
- Provide ambulatory clinic care, inpatient management, and operative coverage in the OR
- Take shared OB call and manage obstetric admissions, labor, deliveries and postpartum care
- Perform rounds, document care in Cerner (inpatient) and eClinicalWorks (outpatient) accurately
- Support the growth of the OB/GYN service line through leadership and quality improvement
- Travel between clinic locations as needed to ensure coverage and continuity of care
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Board Certified or Board Eligible status in OB/GYN (TRULY BE candidates within 3 years of eligibility accepted)
- Current, unrestricted medical license (state licensure required prior to start)
- Clinical experience in inpatient and outpatient OB/GYN care, including OR experience
- Comfort with shared-call models and a weekend/on-call ratio of 1:4
- Experience using Cerner (inpatient) and eClinicalWorks (outpatient) preferred
- Clean malpractice history preferred; cannot accept providers with malpractice matters in probate or requiring supervision
- Not open to 1099 candidates and not accepting visa-sponsored candidates
- Willingness to travel between clinics and to avoid commutes longer than one hour
Education
- MD or DO; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong OB/GYN clinical skills: prenatal care, labor & delivery management, procedures and surgery
- Operating Room (OR) skills and perioperative patient management
- Inpatient and outpatient care coordination and documentation proficiency
- Comfort with shared-call logistics and triage/acute decision-making
- Familiarity with Level 4 trauma center workflows is a plus
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and commitment to building a growing service line
