Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality hematology/oncology care in both outpatient clinics and inpatient settings
- Manage inpatient consultations primarily at Genesis Medical Center–Davenport
- Cover outpatient clinics in Davenport, IA and Silvis, IL, coordinating care across sites
- Collaborate with radiation oncology, infusion services, hospitalists and genetic testing teams to deliver comprehensive care
- Participate in clinical trials and incorporate trial options into patient care when appropriate
- Contribute to a collegial, physician-led practice that supports leadership and work-life balance
- Engage in shared call duties as part of the group’s on-call rotation
Qualifications
- MD or DO with completion of residency and hematology/oncology fellowship
- Board certified or board eligible in Hematology/Oncology (US)
- Active or eligible for medical licensure in Iowa and Illinois (both required prior to start)
- Clean malpractice history preferred; cannot accept candidates with malpractice cases in probate or requiring supervision
- Not accepting Locum Tenens or visa-sponsored candidates for this role
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Education
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- Completion of residency in Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical expertise in hematology and oncology diagnosis and treatment
- Experience with outpatient clinic workflows and inpatient consultation management
- Familiarity with infusion therapy processes and coordination
- Comfort collaborating on clinical trials and utilizing genetic testing resources
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration with radiation oncology and hospitalist teams
- Ability to build and grow a community-based practice with patient-centered focus
