Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations with professionalism and care
• Conduct Separation Health Assessments and thorough medical interviews
• Complete clinical documentation and timely, accurate report writing including addendums and medical opinions
• Perform focused physical assessments including range of motion and muscle strength testing
• Work independently to manage exam flow and required administrative follow-up
• Maintain required credentials and participate in quick onboarding processes
• Respect the non-treatment nature of exams — no prescribing or treatment provided

Qualifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license in good standing
• Clinical background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
• Comfortable performing non-treatment exams (C&P and separation assessments); prior C&P experience is a strong plus
• Access to a private office within 50 miles of the assigned city if choosing the provider-own-office option
• Reliable documentation skills and ability to complete reports and addendums in a timely manner
• Willingness to complete required training and credentialing prior to assignments

Education

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with NP certification preferred
• Appropriate NP clinical training and national/state certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in medical interviewing and non-treatment clinical assessments
• Range of motion testing and muscle strength assessment techniques
• Strong clinical documentation and report writing skills
• Familiarity with reading diagnostics and forming medical opinions
• Ability to work independently and manage a PRN clinic schedule
• Attention to detail and timeliness for addendums and administrative follow-up
