Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver precise external beam radiation treatments, including IMRT and SBRT, using Elekta platforms
• Perform CT simulation and pretreatment imaging (CBCT/kV/mV) to ensure accurate tumor localization
• Apply beam modifying and positioning techniques, including use of HexaPOD and custom molds
• Manage electron beam therapy cases and treat prostate cancer patients using seeds/fiducials when indicated
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and Rapid Response/Code teams to maintain patient safety
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and safety precautions
• Perform dosimetry checks and charting in Epic/MOSAIQ to support accurate billing and documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience
• ARRT(R) certification preferred
• Current state radiation therapy license (state license) required or preferred per facility
• BLS certification preferred
• Experience with Elekta treatment units (Infinity, Versa HD) and MOSAIQ/Epic charting is a plus
• Comfort working in a teaching hospital environment and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation Safety best practices
• External Beam Therapy and IMRT delivery
• CT Simulation and CBCT/kV/mV imaging
• Electron Beam Therapy and electron field setup
• SBRT procedures and tumor localization techniques (including fiducials/seeds)
• Beam modifying/positioning, HexaPOD use, custom molds and shields
• Familiarity with Elekta Infinity and Elekta Versa HD platforms
• Charting and workflow in Epic and MOSAIQ
• Respiratory gating techniques and ExacTrac experience
