Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, instruments, and sterile fields to support safe surgeries
• Assist the surgical team throughout orthopedic and joint procedures with focus and precision
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure surgical counts are accurate
• Document procedures and patient information using Meditech EMR clearly and promptly
• Anticipate surgeon needs and proactively problem-solve in fast-paced OR environments
• Participate in on-call coverage and adapt to changing schedules with professionalism
• Collaborate as a team player with high accountability to deliver excellent patient care

Qualifications

• CST/ORT credential (Certified Surgical Technologist or OR Tech)
• NBSTA certification required
• DORA certification required
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience (Ortho/Joint experience required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Flexibility to work day/evening shifts and participate in call rotations
• Strong self-direction, teamwork, and high level of accountability

Knowledge & Skills

• Operating Room best practices and sterile technique
• Orthopedics and joint surgery workflows
• Trauma/Level I experience is a plus
• Meditech EMR navigation and documentation
• Instrument and supply management for a busy OR
• Effective communication, teamwork, and clinical accountability
