Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ speech, language, and swallowing abilities using evidence‑based tools
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that promote communication independence
• Document progress notes and adjust treatment plans based on outcomes
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated care
• Educate patients, families, and staff on communication strategies and best practices

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts Speech‑Language Pathology license or eligibility for licensure
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders; Master’s preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Reliable attendance and flexibility to cover weekday and weekend shifts

• Speech and language assessment techniques
• Swallowing (dysphagia) evaluation and management
• Individualized treatment planning
• Documentation and electronic health record proficiency
• Patient and family education
