Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients of all ages to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that promote communication independence
• Document progress notes and outcomes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive rehab care
• Educate patients, families, and staff on strategies to support communication goals

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist in Tennessee
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in acute or post‑acute rehab settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Evaluation and treatment of dysphagia, aphasia, apraxia, and voice disorders
• Evidence‑based therapeutic techniques and outcome measurement
• Electronic health record documentation
• Patient education and counseling
