Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12 hour nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend, first to float

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $68 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for timely interventions
Deliver compassionate care to post-op surgical, ortho, bariatric, and tele patients including CHF, arrhythmias, and sepsis cases
Manage drips like heparin and amio while prioritizing patient experience with bedside shift reports
Float confidently between Med/Tele units, ED holds, and rehab to support the team where needed most
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, RT, and pharmacy for optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license
2+ years of experience
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Cerner EMR experience required

Education

BSN not required

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
MedSurg and stepdown care
Managing vents, bipap, cpap, and common drips
Patient-focused communication and dependability
