Shift Type: Rotating day/evening schedule, Monday-Friday with call and weekend coverage as needed; primary shift options include 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, and 10:30 AM - 8:30 PM. Additional block options may include 3x12 (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and 4x10 (6:00 AM - 11:00 PM). Call coverage is assigned on a 2-3/4-week sign-up period and may include Evening 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Night 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, and Weekend 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care as a rotating day/evening RN, ensuring patient safety and excellent outcomes
• Perform circulating and scrubbing duties in the operating room with attention to sterile technique and efficiency
• Document patient care accurately and promptly using EPIC to support continuity and quality
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate perioperative plans
• Assist with robotic-assisted procedures and complex surgical cases when indicated
• Participate in call coverage, respond to codes, and support emergency management as needed
• Adhere to infection control, universal protocol, and safety standards to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Minimum of 2 years of perioperative/surgical nursing experience required
• BCLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR are preferred
• Demonstrated circulating and scrub experience is required; oncology and robotics experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Comfort working in a high-acuity cancer center and with a range of surgical specialties (neuro, thoracic, ENT, ortho, plastics, urology, GU/GYN)
• Travel experience preferred or willingness to work in a travel/contract assignment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative knowledge including sterile technique, instrument handling, and surgical workflows
• Familiarity with robotic systems such as Da Vinci SP and Xi
• Experience with electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, and advanced instrumentation
• Proficiency in administration of blood products and cardiac monitoring
• Infection control, specimen handling, laser and radiation safety, and universal time-out procedure
• Ability to respond to codes, understand malignant hyperthermia protocol, and participate in emergency management
