Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Night shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM; every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and care for patients with complex cardiac, neurological, and respiratory conditions
Titrate IV drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Provide patient and family education on disease management and recovery
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support unit needs

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state (NLC)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PCU or step-down experience preferred
Positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and continuous EEG monitoring
Knowledge of stroke care, nephrology, and diabetes management
Ability to titrate multiple IV drips safely
Effective problem-solving and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
