Registered Nurse - Operating Room (OR)
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Start Date: 07-20-2026
End Date: 10-19-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with on-call: 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month, 30-minute response time
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert perioperative nursing care for a diverse range of surgical procedures including orthopedics, GYN, urology, cardiothoracic, vascular, plastics, spine, neuro, and trauma
- Collaborate with a dynamic surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize advanced technology including DaVinci Robotics, MAKO, and TAVR equipment
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care OR RN experience in a hospital setting
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with DaVinci Robotics, orthopedics, neurology, and vascular preferred
- Prior Meditech experience is a plus
- Must be able to respond to call within 30 minutes
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of perioperative nursing standards and infection control
- Proficiency in circulating and scrubbing for various surgical specialties
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different surgical cases and equipment
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
