Registered Nurse - LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum)

Location: Dickinson, ND

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, block scheduling, every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $81 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients, including mom/baby couplets
Monitor fetal heart tracings using OB Trace Vue EFM system and intervene as needed
Titrate IV medications such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other drips according to protocols
Assist with neonatal resuscitation and stabilization, including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Float to other units such as MSP/ED for helping hands, primarily providing 1:1 patient sitting
Collaborate with charge nurse, providers, and surgical team for cesarean sections (circulate for baby)
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required
Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
Proficiency in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Experience with titrating drips (Magnesium, Oxytocin, etc.)
Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting with limited NICU access

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal heart monitoring and interpretation skills
IV therapy and medication titration expertise
Neonatal resuscitation and airway management
Effective communication and teamwork
Critical thinking and ability to prioritize in emergency situations
Adaptability to float between units as needed
