Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a 16-bed Medical ICU
- Monitor and manage vasopressors, sedation drips, and other titratable medications
- Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists to stabilize complex cases like sepsis, stroke, and respiratory failure
- Perform and interpret telemetry, assist with ventilator management and BiPAP
- Float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed to support team coverage
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Iowa or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
- Previous travel experience preferred
- Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in ICU nursing including drip titration and ventilator management
- Experience with telemetry interpretation and monitoring
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for medical ICU patients
- Comfortable working with Draeger monitors and centralized telemetry
