Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Variable 12-hour shifts; every other weekend; holidays required in November/December

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population including cardiac, stroke, sepsis, trauma, and mental health cases
Manage patient triage in a fast-paced 56-bed ER with separate triage area
Stabilize and treat critical patients in trauma bays and inpatient holding areas
Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, ED techs, and inpatient nurses to ensure seamless care
Utilize Epic EMR to document and coordinate patient care effectively

Qualifications

Active WA or compact RN license required
Minimum 1 year of emergency room experience in a larger trauma setting
BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required; PALS or ENPC also required
Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as needed
Comfortable with floating within department; no floating outside ED

Knowledge & Skills

Strong trauma nursing skills and ability to handle high-acuity patients
Proficient in Epic EMR and telemetry monitoring
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment
Ability to triage and manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels
