Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), every other weekend, holidays rotate with core staff

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in an 18-bed ED with 4 fast-track beds
Monitor telemetry and interpret EKG strips for cardiac patients
Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and a dedicated RT and pharmacy team
Participate in bedside reporting and assist with break relief for charge nurse
Float to other Sacramento facilities as needed (mid-shift float rare)

Qualifications

Current RN license in California
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
Cerner EMR experience preferred
Ability to pass a Dysrhythmia exam (UNA) within 24-48 hours of offer

Knowledge & Skills

Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with bedside reporting and self-scheduling
