Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry to keep patients safe and supported
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care on the 4 South Cardiac unit
• Document care accurately and efficiently in Epic EMR (proficiency required)
• Float to Med-Surg units as needed (Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation, ED boarders)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Respond to clinical changes and emergencies with confidence and skill
• Teach and support patients and families through education and discharge planning
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry reading on day one to meet unit standards

Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific licensure required)
• Minimum 3 years recent/current Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (active status required)
• Proven ability to read and interpret telemetry monitoring (competency testing on day one)
• Current Epic EMR proficiency — no refresher or 1:1 training provided
• Comfortable floating between Cardiac/Telemetry and Med-Surg units

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac telemetry monitoring and telemetry interpretation/reading
• Strong Epic EMR workflow knowledge and documentation skills
• Med-Surg nursing skills including wound care, stroke, oncology, respiratory care
• Observation and ED/Med-Surg boarding experience
• Critical thinking, patient assessment, and rapid clinical decision-making
• Effective communication and teamwork in a busy hospital environment
