Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist with patient preparation and instrument setup
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area throughout the day
- Document patient records accurately and update charts in real time
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care instructions
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure timely restocking
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; dental assisting program preferred
- Current Maryland Dental Assistant certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly bedside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced orthodontic environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records
- Strong infection control and sterilization practices
- Effective communication with patients, parents, and clinical staff
