Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and preventive care to patients
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post‑treatment care
• Document patient records accurately and maintain compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with dentists and staff to ensure seamless patient flow
• Assist in preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments

Qualifications

• Current Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
• Strong communication skills and patient‑focused attitude
• Experience in a clinical dental setting preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental prophylaxis and periodontal assessment
• Knowledge of infection control standards
• Familiarity with dental software for charting and billing
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to educate patients on oral health best practices
