Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide thorough dental prophylaxis and patient education
- Perform oral health assessments and document findings accurately
- Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean work environment
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
Qualifications
- Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license
- Certification as a Dental Hygienist (CDH) preferred
- Experience in a clinical dental setting is a plus
- Strong communication skills and a patient‑focused attitude
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in dental radiography and charting software
- Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
- Ability to educate patients on oral health best practices
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
