Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient records accurately and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
• Assist the dentist with procedures and ensure a smooth clinical flow
• Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean treatment environment

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygiene license
• Minimum 1 year of clinical dental hygiene experience
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental radiography and charting software
• Knowledge of infection control and OSHA regulations
• Understanding of periodontal disease prevention and treatment
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
