Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough oral health assessments and chart patient findings
• Perform prophylaxis, scaling, and polishing procedures with precision
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Collaborate with dentists and the care team to develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license (RDH)
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a clinical dental setting preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental charting software
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and OSHA regulations
• Skilled in using ultrasonic scalers and hand instruments
• Understanding of radiography basics and safety
