Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental prophylaxis and oral health assessments
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Document patient findings accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure seamless patient flow
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area

Qualifications

• Current Virginia dental hygiene license
• Completion of an accredited dental hygiene program
• Strong communication skills and patient‑focused attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Oral anatomy and periodontal disease knowledge
• Proficiency with dental radiography and charting software
• Infection control and OSHA compliance
• Patient education and motivational interviewing
