Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care and assist residents with activities of daily living
  • Take and record vital signs and promptly report any changes in condition to nursing staff
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Support residents with meals, hydration, hygiene, and dressing needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful care environment
  • Document care provided and communicate openly with the healthcare team

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Delaware
  • Successful completion of Delaware background check and fingerprinting through the DHSS Background Check Center
  • COVID-19 vaccination or a documented religious/medical exemption
  • Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at the facility
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to quality resident care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with residents, families, and teammates
  • Keen observation skills to notice changes in residents' conditions
  • Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
  • Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
  • A patient-centered, empathetic approach to care
  • Basic documentation and teamwork skills
