Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs and promptly report any changes in condition to nursing staff
- Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
- Support residents with meals, hydration, hygiene, and dressing needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and respectful care environment
- Document care provided and communicate openly with the healthcare team
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Delaware
- Successful completion of Delaware background check and fingerprinting through the DHSS Background Check Center
- COVID-19 vaccination or a documented religious/medical exemption
- Must bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at the facility
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to quality resident care
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with residents, families, and teammates
- Keen observation skills to notice changes in residents' conditions
- Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Ability to perform physical tasks like lifting, transferring, and standing for extended periods
- A patient-centered, empathetic approach to care
- Basic documentation and teamwork skills
