Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Help residents maintain mobility by safely transferring, positioning, and ambulating them
  • Take and record vital signs, and report any changes in condition to nursing staff
  • Support residents during meals and monitor nutritional intake
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

  • Must hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
  • Must comply with Delaware background check requirements, including providing a state or federal issued ID and wearing a photo badge at all times
  • Must have completed the COVID-19 vaccination series or present a documented religious and/or medical exemption
  • Able to work night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) as needed
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine desire to help others
  • Ability to follow care plans and work effectively as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the role, including lifting and supporting residents
  • Attention to detail in observing and reporting changes in residents' health
  • Commitment to maintaining resident dignity and confidentiality
