Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs accurately
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning
  • Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support
  • Observe and report changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
  • Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
  • Must be able to pass a background check through the DHSS Background Check Center
  • Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination or an approved religious or medical exemption
  • Must bring a state or federally issued ID and wear a photo badge while at the facility
  • Ability to follow care plans and facility policies

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and attentive to residents' needs
  • Able to work effectively as part of a care team
  • Basic knowledge of vital signs and resident care techniques
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to respond calmly and quickly in changing situations
