Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care
Location: Wausau, Wisconsin
Start Date: 09-22-2026
End Date: 12-19-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM (PM shift), 40 hours/week with every other weekend and holiday rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care, feeding, and mobility support to residents
- Follow individualized care plans and uphold resident rights, preferences, and safety
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and positioning using gait belts and mechanical lifts
- Deliver restorative and range‑of‑motion exercises as assigned
- Respond promptly to call lights and attend to resident needs with empathy
- Support residents during meals, including set‑up, grooming, feeding assistance, and documentation of intake
- Observe and report changes in physical, emotional, or cognitive status to the Licensed Nurse
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation of ADLs, intake/output, and restorative care
- Follow infection control protocols, including proper PPE use and hand hygiene
- Keep resident environments clean, safe, and organized, including stocking supplies and linen care
- Participate in care conferences, interdisciplinary communication, and onboarding of new staff
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant license on the Nurse Aide Registry
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 2 years CNA experience in long‑term care or related settings
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and safely support residents
- Computer literacy with experience using electronic medical records
