Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, so residents feel comfortable and respected.
  • Support safe mobility by helping residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking, reducing fall risks and promoting independence.
  • Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, including vital signs and behavioral observations, to the nursing team.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment to support residents' health and well-being.
  • Build meaningful connections with residents, offering companionship and encouragement throughout the day.

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Delaware (DE CNA)
  • Documented COVID-19 vaccination or an approved religious or medical exemption
  • Valid government-issued photo ID for facility check-in and badging
  • A warm, patient, and dependable personality
  • Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with the care team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of resident care fundamentals, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and safety protocols
  • Comfort taking and recording vital signs accurately
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with nurses and supporting residents
  • A compassionate, attentive approach to caring for elderly or vulnerable patients
  • Good time management to keep up with resident needs in a busy environment
