Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, so residents feel comfortable and respected.
- Support safe mobility by helping residents with transferring, repositioning, and walking, reducing fall risks and promoting independence.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions, including vital signs and behavioral observations, to the nursing team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment to support residents' health and well-being.
- Build meaningful connections with residents, offering companionship and encouragement throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in Delaware (DE CNA)
- Documented COVID-19 vaccination or an approved religious or medical exemption
- Valid government-issued photo ID for facility check-in and badging
- A warm, patient, and dependable personality
- Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with the care team
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of resident care fundamentals, including hygiene, mobility assistance, and safety protocols
- Comfort taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with nurses and supporting residents
- A compassionate, attentive approach to caring for elderly or vulnerable patients
- Good time management to keep up with resident needs in a busy environment
