Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents in a long-term care setting
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
  • Take and accurately record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team
  • Help residents with mobility, positioning, and transfers using proper body mechanics
  • Respond promptly to call lights and prioritize resident comfort and safety
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and infection-controlled environment
  • Document care provided and communicate observations clearly and timely

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
  • Fingerprint background check through the DHSS Background Check Center required for Delaware assignments
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
  • Valid state or federal photo ID and willingness to wear a photo badge at all times
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high-quality resident care
  • Ability to follow facility policies and compliance requirements

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and safety protocols
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary care team
  • Compassion, patience, and genuine empathy for residents
  • Understanding of infection control and universal precautions
  • Time management and organizational skills
