Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate daily care to residents, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Take and record vital signs, observing changes in residents' conditions and reporting concerns to nursing staff
  • Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to keep them safe and comfortable
  • Assist with meals and hydration, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition
  • Maintain clean, safe, and welcoming living spaces while following infection control protocols
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement, promoting each resident's dignity and independence

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
  • Must comply with Delaware DHSS Background Check Center fingerprinting and background check requirements
  • Proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination or a documented medical/religious exemption
  • Valid state or federal issued photo ID and ability to wear a photo badge while on duty
  • Prior CNA experience is a plus, but we welcome new graduates ready to start their healthcare journey

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for connecting with residents, families, and teammates
  • Solid understanding of basic patient care, safety practices, and infection prevention
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach to caregiving
  • Ability to observe and report changes in resident condition with attention to detail
  • Teamwork mindset and ability to adapt in a fast-paced healthcare setting
