Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Monitor and accurately record vital signs, temperature, pulse, and respiration
  • Provide compassionate care and emotional support to residents and their families
  • Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment
  • Document care delivered and report any changes in resident condition promptly
  • Collaborate with nurses and other team members to promote optimal health outcomes

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
  • Ability to pass background check and fingerprinting through the Delaware DHSS Background Check Center
  • COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
  • Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality, person-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent communication and bedside manner
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
  • Skill in monitoring vital signs and observing changes in patient condition
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Empathy, patience, and physical stamina
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
