Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and accounting reports to keep the hospital’s books accurate
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure clean month-end close
• Process and review accounts payable and receivable transactions with attention to detail
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and produce timely documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support audits, internal controls, and compliance efforts
• Streamline accounting processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Communicate financial findings clearly to stakeholders and help drive informed decisions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus or candidates working toward CPA are encouraged to apply
• Hands-on experience with general ledger reconciliation, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Comfortable with accounting systems and ERPs; experience with systems like Oracle or PeopleSoft is a benefit
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and reconciliations
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site at Centennial Medical Center and collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
• Account reconciliations and variance analysis
• Financial statement preparation and review
• Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools
• Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving ability
• Effective written and verbal communication with non-financial stakeholders
• Time management and the ability to meet month-end deadlines
