Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Assess patient condition and report changes promptly to the care team
- Document care thoroughly and maintain clear, timely charting
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create individualized care plans
- Support safe admissions, transfers, and discharges with attention to detail
- Promote a positive, respectful environment that supports patient dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in North Carolina (required)
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Prior LPN experience preferred; strong clinical judgment and patient-centered mindset
- Reliable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited practical nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic wound care
- Strong assessment and monitoring skills for adult patients
- Comfortable with electronic charting and timely documentation
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Good interpersonal skills — teamwork and clear communication are key
