Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, patient-family centered emergency nursing care
- Perform excellent assessment and rapid decision-making in urgent situations
- Document care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Communicate clearly with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team
- Act independently when required and escalate appropriately for complex cases
- Maintain confidentiality and support the organization's mission and values
- Participate in emergency response and support departmental readiness
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Maine license or compact eligible) required
- Current BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred or obtainable
- Experience with emergency department nursing and 12-hour night shifts preferred
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation and communication skills
- Comfort with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and clinical documentation
- Ability to function independently, maintain confidentiality and act quickly in emergencies
Education
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- ED nursing and emergency response
- Patient assessment and rapid decision-making
- Clinical documentation and EMR proficiency
- Strong communication with patients, families and teams
- Computer skills for documentation and order entry
- Patient-family centered care and confidentiality practices
