Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and support to residents with dignity
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor resident well-being and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Help create a safe, comfortable environment and support residents' daily routines
- Work collaboratively with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver excellent care
Qualifications
- GNA/CNA certification required (or state-equivalent caregiver credential)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Comfortable assisting with transfers and performing physical tasks
- Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor with good communication skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living is a plus
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- GNA/CNA certification or state-equivalent credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic nursing assistant skills and knowledge of infection control practices
- Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
- Accurate documentation and time management skills
- Clear verbal communication and ability to follow care plans
- Team-oriented mindset with a focus on resident dignity and comfort
