Shift Type: Rotating night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, includes weekends (work at least 4 weekends per schedule period)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate ICU care to critically ill patients in the NVICU, making each patient’s safety your priority
- Manage advanced critical care procedures including intubation, ventilator management, central and arterial line care
- Support EVD patient care in collaboration with core neuro staff
- Document patient care accurately and timely using Meditech to maintain continuity and compliance
- Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Assess and respond to changes in patient status quickly, using strong clinical judgment and critical thinking
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to a team environment that is accountable, caring, and professional
Qualifications
- Active RN (Registered Nurse) credential — able to practice in Texas (state license or applicable compact license)
- Minimum 1 year ICU experience (NVICU/neuro experience preferred)
- ACLS certification required
- Comfortable with advanced ICU procedures: intubation, central and arterial line management, EVD care
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR is preferred
- Willingness to work night shifts and meet weekend scheduling expectations
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care nursing best practices and ICU workflow
- Ventilator management and airway stabilization (intubation experience)
- Insertion care and maintenance for central lines and arterial lines
- EVD patient monitoring and safe care practices
- Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems for documentation
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to function well under pressure with excellent clinical judgment
