Certified Nursing Assistant – UHC Staffing

Location: Albuquerque, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: As scheduled, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM Night shift (overnight), days not specified

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs and report significant findings to nursing staff
Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe use of assistive devices
Maintain clear, timely documentation to support excellent continuity of care
Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Collaborate with the care team to create a respectful, resident-centered environment

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (state-required credential) or eligible to obtain
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
Comfortable and competent working overnight 12-hour shifts
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

High school diploma or GED
Completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Patient hygiene, feeding, and toileting assistance
Basic vital sign measurement and reporting
Safe transfer and positioning techniques
Familiarity with documentation and electronic health record basics
Infection prevention and universal precautions
Teamwork, time management, and resident-focused communication
