Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and function
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and gait training
• Track progress objectively and update care plans to ensure measurable outcomes
• Coordinate care with nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists to provide cohesive rehabilitation
• Educate patients and families on home programs, safety, and injury prevention to support long-term recovery
• Document interventions and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record in a timely manner
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, patient-centered culture

Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in Delaware or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent preferred; related degrees considered with appropriate licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Demonstrated skill in patient assessment, therapeutic exercise, and manual techniques
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team
• Travel/contract experience a plus, but enthusiasm and adaptability are just as important

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred; Master's or Bachelor's in relevant field with appropriate credentials may be considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular assessment
• Skilled in designing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Experience with gait training, balance training, and therapeutic modalities
• Comfortable with patient education and discharge planning
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with EMR systems
• Strong interpersonal skills and patient-centered communication
• Ability to prioritize caseload and manage time effectively
