Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care to a busy ED patient population
• Perform rapid and accurate patient assessment, triage, and continuous reassessment
• Prioritize care and manage time effectively during high-acuity situations
• Administer medications and treatments safely following provider orders and unit protocols
• Document care thoroughly in Meditech EHR and communicate effectively with the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and support staff to coordinate patient flow
• Participate in bedside handoffs and deliver clear, concise status updates for continuity of care
• Support unit goals for patient ratios, safety, and positive patient experiences

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience (must have)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (required)
• Meditech EHR experience (preferred)
• Strong prioritization and time management skills
• Proven experience working as part of a team in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and night shifts as required by the unit

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing fundamentals and advanced patient assessment
• Triage and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Medication administration, monitoring, and documentation
• Proficiency with Meditech electronic health record
• Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary staff
• Ability to manage 4:1 patient ratios while maintaining safety and quality
