Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry consistently and accurately, documenting rhythms twice per shift
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for adult to geriatric tele/cardiac patients
• Use Epic to document assessments, medications, and care plans with precision
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and escalate concerns
• Maintain ACLS and BLS protocols during cardiac events and emergencies
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and attendance standards to ensure reliable coverage
• Complete required onboarding training (Welle or CPI verbal de-escalation) and compliance checks

Qualifications

• Current New York RN license (must upload with profile)
• New York Temporary Health Care Service Agency License/Registration Certificate required for traveler submissions
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) current certifications
• Minimum 3 years nursing experience with strong telemetry/med-tele background
• Epic experience required - highlight on your profile to avoid delays
• Ability to interpret, measure & document cardiac rhythms twice per shift
• Own reliable vehicle for commute to facility
• Clean attendance history and dependable work record
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years
• Permanent address on profile matching driver license/state ID (facility compliance requirement)

Education

• Education not explicitly stated; active RN licensure in New York required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring skills
• Strong proficiency with Epic electronic health record workflows
• Assessment and medication administration for adult and geriatric populations
• Experience in med-tele and cardiac care unit workflows
• Neuro/stroke experience is highly preferred
• Comfort with unit-specific documentation and compliance processes
• Ability to perform under pressure and communicate clearly with the care team
