Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer infusion and chemotherapy treatments safely and competently
• Assess and monitor oncology patients before, during, and after therapy
• Document treatments, reactions, and care plans accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families about infusion procedures, side effect management, and home care
• Maintain strict chemotherapy safety and handling protocols to protect patients and staff
• Respond promptly to clinical changes and escalate concerns as needed

Qualifications

• Current California RN license (required)
• Current BLS recognition (required)
• Chemotherapy certification with recent chemotherapy administration experience (required)
• Recent infusion clinic experience (required)
• Four years of acute nursing experience in an Oncology setting (required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR (required)
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and compassion for oncology patients

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in infusion therapy and chemotherapy administration
• Solid knowledge of oncology nursing principles and symptom management
• Proficient use of EPIC for documentation and order management
• Venous access care and infusion pump management
• Chemotherapy safety, handling, and disposal procedures
• Patient education, teaching, and supportive communication skills
• Accurate clinical documentation and medication administration practices
