Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide timely, compassionate emergency care and prioritize patient safety in a fast-paced ED
• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to ensure the right level of care
• Administer medications and treatments following protocols and physician orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and care teams to coordinate patient flow
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and safety practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) strongly preferred
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred but motivated new ED nurses will be considered
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize under pressure, and excellent communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in triage, emergency assessment, and rapid patient stabilization
• Proficient with IV starts, medication administration, and emergency interventions
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care accurately
• Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients while maintaining attention to detail
